EWA Industrial strengthened its presence in Southeast Asia following a successful business visit to automotive OEM clients in Vietnam in January 2025. During the visit, EWA’s executive and engineering teams conducted in-depth discussions with key automotive manufacturers to review current project delivery performance and explore new ODM cooperation opportunities for upcoming vehicle platforms.
The visit marks another important step in EWA’s regional expansion strategy. As Vietnam’s automotive industry continues to develop, local vehicle manufacturers are increasingly adopting smart cockpits, connected infotainment systems, and digital driver interfaces. Par conséquent, demand is growing for reliable, cost-effective, and highly customizable automotive display terminals.
Through direct technical communication with OEM customers, EWA gained a deeper understanding of regional vehicle development requirements while demonstrating its capabilities in automotive display engineering, system integration, and ODM manufacturing.
Supporting Vietnam’s Growing Demand for Smart Automotive Displays
Vietnam is becoming an increasingly important automotive manufacturing and consumer market in Southeast Asia. En même temps, the development of electric vehicles, connected cars, and intelligent cockpits is accelerating the transition from traditional dashboards to digital vehicle interfaces.
For automotive OEMs, however, adopting advanced display technology requires more than high-resolution screens. Display solutions must also meet automotive environmental requirements, support vehicle software platforms, and maintain stable performance throughout long product lifecycles.
During the technical exchange sessions, EWA introduced its capabilities as a custom automotive display ODM supplier, covering display hardware, electronic integration, mechanical design, and production support.
Key Automotive Display Capabilities
- High-Definition In-Vehicle Displays: EWA develops customized LCD and OLED display terminals for central infotainment systems, digital instrument clusters, and passenger entertainment applications.
- Multi-Platform Integration: Display systems can be engineered for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and proprietary OEM Linux or Android infotainment architectures.
- Automotive-Grade Engineering: Products are designed to operate reliably under temperature fluctuations, high humidity, vibration, and other demanding vehicle operating conditions.
- Customized Product Development: Display size, housing structure, optical bonding, PCBA configuration, and system interfaces can be customized according to individual vehicle platform requirements.
This combination of hardware customization and engineering support enables EWA to work more closely with OEM development teams from the early design stage through production.
Why Automotive OEMs Work with EWA as an ODM Partner
Automotive display development requires strict control over product reliability, manufacturing consistency, and long-term supply. Therefore, selecting the right ODM partner is critical for vehicle manufacturers planning new model platforms.
1. Automotive-Grade Manufacturing and Quality Control
EWA applies automotive-oriented quality management practices throughout the manufacturing process. From electronic components and display modules to optical bonding and final assembly, each production stage is controlled to support reliable performance and consistent product quality.
EWA’s manufacturing capabilities are aligned with IATF 16949 automotive quality management requirements, providing a structured foundation for automotive OEM and Tier-1 supply programs.
2. End-to-End OEM and ODM Development
EWA supports the complete product development process rather than supplying display panels alone. Engineering services can cover optical design, PCBA development, mechanical housing customization, system integration, essai, et production de masse.
This end-to-end ODM model helps automotive customers reduce communication complexity between multiple suppliers and accelerate the transition from concept development to production.
3. Cost-Competitive Automotive Display Solutions
In addition to technical performance, cost remains an important consideration for automotive manufacturers in emerging Southeast Asian markets.
EWA combines component sourcing, engineering optimization, and automated assembly processes to develop cost-effective car-grade infotainment displays without compromising the requirements of automotive applications.
Par conséquent, OEM customers can obtain customized display solutions that balance functionality, reliability, production scalability, and target vehicle costs.
Building Long-Term Automotive Partnerships in Southeast Asia
The Vietnam visit also created opportunities for deeper cooperation between EWA and regional automotive manufacturers. Following the technical meetings, both sides reached preliminary agreements regarding potential display projects for upcoming vehicle models.
Looking ahead, EWA plans to support customized display development for the next generation of electric and internal-combustion-engine vehicles entering the Vietnamese market.
These projects may include customized automotive infotainment displays, digital instrument clusters, and other in-vehicle display terminals designed around specific OEM vehicle architectures.
As Southeast Asia continues to invest in connected mobility and intelligent vehicle technologies, close cooperation between automotive manufacturers and specialized display ODM suppliers will become increasingly important.
EWA Industrial will continue to expand its engineering and manufacturing capabilities to support automotive brands with customized display hardware, responsive ODM development, scalable production, and long-term supply support.
